Bill Sunderland, Tenor
Bill is the understudy of the role “Frederic” in this year's production of The Pirates of Penzance.
Bill spent his high school years performing in various choirs and productions, including three seasons in the Opera Australia Children’s Chorus (for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Der Rosenkavalier and Cunning Little Vixen) and his first experience with community theatre in Chatswood Musical Society’s The Music Man.
Bill returned to musicals in 2013, joining the CMS production of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as "Levi". He continued performing with a variety of musical societies, including roles as "Magaldi" in Manly Musical Society’s production of Evita and as the "Police Sergeant" in CMS’s earlier production of The Pirates of Penzance.
He is excited to return to one of his favourite musicals with Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney.

The Savoy Arts Company Incorporated has been producing shows since 1985, specialising in the operettas of William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. To better reflect its primary artistic objective, commencing from 2014, the company will be performing as Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney. Our performing group has provided excellent training in all aspects of stagecraft for performers who have made a career in opera and musical theatre. The Ensemble style of our productions not only provides the chorus with experience in singing with an orchestra, but also provides ample opportunity to learn and develop skills in characterisation and stagecraft.
