Lionell Pack, BaritoneLionell is thrilled to be playing Bob Becket, the carpenter, in his debut with GSOS.
Lionell's musical endeavours started with violin lessons at a very young age. When that didn't stick, he tried his chops at a bevy of other instruments including the trumpet, oboe, and saxophone. He has been playing flute on and off since 1995, and has held positions in a variety of bands and orchestras including the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra. His piano experience spans well over thirty years, and he has played in a variety of Brisbane venues from Government House to Doo-Bop Piano Bar. Since moving to Sydney in late 2022, Lionell has studied with Opera Australia's Simon Gilkes and performed regularly with the Willoughby Symphony Choir as a chorus member and soloist. Before that, he sung with choirs including the Grammarphones, QUMS, and Brisbane Chorale. He has performed a variety of solo roles, including a series of performances to show-case "Friendly People" by Australian composer Andrew Will. Lionell has a life-long love of singing and is always looking for new ways to expand his vocal experience. In addition to his dedication to music, Lionell works as a professional software engineer. |

About UsThe Savoy Arts Company Incorporated has been producing shows since 1985, specialising in the operettas of William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. To better reflect its primary artistic objective, commencing from 2014, the company will be performing as Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney. Our performing group has provided excellent training in all aspects of stagecraft for performers who have made a career in opera and musical theatre. The Ensemble style of our productions not only provides the chorus with experience in singing with an orchestra, but also provides ample opportunity to learn and develop skills in characterisation and stagecraft.
