Megan Cribb, Mezzo-SopranoMegan shares the role of “Mrs Partlett” in The Sorcerer.
Megan fell in love with musical theatre after seeing Les Misérables in 1989 and singing in the children’s choir of Tosca with The Australian Opera. She studied Drama for her HSC and cherished every moment on stage. A passionate vocalist, Megan has also sung with her local choir for the past six years. After a long hiatus, Megan returned to the stage last year with Mosman Musical Society, playing Gad in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This year, she stepped into her first principal role as Lisa in A New Brain (MMS), followed by an ensemble role in The Boy from Oz with Inner West Theatre Company. She is thrilled to be joining G&S Opera Sydney for this exciting production of The Sorcerer. Outside of performing, Megan keeps busy crafting, hiking, “mum’s taxi service,” volunteering on various community groups and works at Ensemble Theatre. She proudly lives by her life’s motto: “Why speak when you can sing!” |

About UsThe Savoy Arts Company Incorporated has been producing shows since 1985, specialising in the operettas of William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. To better reflect its primary artistic objective, commencing from 2014, the company will be performing as Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney. Our performing group has provided excellent training in all aspects of stagecraft for performers who have made a career in opera and musical theatre. The Ensemble style of our productions not only provides the chorus with experience in singing with an orchestra, but also provides ample opportunity to learn and develop skills in characterisation and stagecraft.
