Laura Wachsmann, SopranoLaura understudies “Yum-Yum” in this year's production of The Mikado.
Laura Wachsmann is currently in her second year at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she is completing a BMus Performance (Classical Voice). Her stage experience started with high school musicals, as a member of the Lullaby League in Riverside Girls High School's production of 'The Wizard of Oz' (2013), featured ensemble in 'Beauty and the Beast' (2015) and Mr Banks in 'Mary Poppins' (2017). In 2018, she was mersister Allana in 'The Little Mermaid' (RMS). This year she's appeared as Principal Burton in 'Seven Little Australians' (Opera Carnivale) as well as an ensemble member for the NSW amateur premiere of 'Ladies in Black' and the Ravel opera L'enfant et les sortilèges (Sydney Con). Laura is looking forward to being a part of her first ever G&S production! |

About UsThe Savoy Arts Company Incorporated has been producing shows since 1985, specialising in the operettas of William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. To better reflect its primary artistic objective, commencing from 2014, the company will be performing as Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney. Our performing group has provided excellent training in all aspects of stagecraft for performers who have made a career in opera and musical theatre. The Ensemble style of our productions not only provides the chorus with experience in singing with an orchestra, but also provides ample opportunity to learn and develop skills in characterisation and stagecraft.
