Mitch Bryson, Tenor
Mitch is featured as “Major-General Stanley” in this year's production of The Pirates of Penzance.
Mitch has been singing in the Sydney amateur music theatre and operetta circuit for a number of years. He has a real love for Gilbert and Sullivan, bordering on obsession, and returns to the company after performing in last year’s production of Patience. Mitch’s previous roles include Luiz in The Gondoliers, Florian in Princess Ida, Nanki Poo in The Mikado, Leonard in The Yeomen of the Guard, Captain Corcoran in HMS Pinafore, The Defendant in Trial by Jury and Archibald Grosvenor in Patience. Mitch has also performed in Iolanthe, Carmen, Il Tabarro, West Side Story and G&S inspired pantomimes as the Big Bad Wolf and Pinkbeard the Pirate.

The Savoy Arts Company Incorporated has been producing shows since 1985, specialising in the operettas of William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. To better reflect its primary artistic objective, commencing from 2014, the company will be performing as Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney. Our performing group has provided excellent training in all aspects of stagecraft for performers who have made a career in opera and musical theatre. The Ensemble style of our productions not only provides the chorus with experience in singing with an orchestra, but also provides ample opportunity to learn and develop skills in characterisation and stagecraft.
