Sophie Booth, Soprano
Sophie is featured as “Isabel” in this year's production of The Pirates of Penzance.
Sophie's performing arts journey began at age five, when she took dance lessons at Marni's School of Performing Arts. Throughout school she was involved in vocal performance showcases and from a young age has been an avid theatre enthusiast. Her love for the theatre has continued to grow as she has stepped into the world of musical theatre performance.
Sophie has been involved both onstage and offstage with Gosford Musical Society since 2018, performing in South Pacific, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia and as "Gladys" in 42nd Street. She made her lead role debut as "Woman 1" in Songs for a New World with Create & Co Theatre in 2021. Other performing credits include Featured Soloist in All Together Now with Jopuka Productions and Create & Co Theatre, Kinky Boots with Sydney Youth Musical Theatre, and singing with the Macabellas a-cappella group, winning National Open Ensemble Finals in 2019.
She receives vocal training from Todd Keys, and dance training at Sydney Dance Company.

The Savoy Arts Company Incorporated has been producing shows since 1985, specialising in the operettas of William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. To better reflect its primary artistic objective, commencing from 2014, the company will be performing as Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney. Our performing group has provided excellent training in all aspects of stagecraft for performers who have made a career in opera and musical theatre. The Ensemble style of our productions not only provides the chorus with experience in singing with an orchestra, but also provides ample opportunity to learn and develop skills in characterisation and stagecraft.
